What is DHA spray tanning?

When your skin produces pigment to protect itself from UV rays, tanning occurs. In spray or airbrush tanning, a tanning solution containing an active ingredient called DHA is applied by a tanning technician via a compressor and airbrush. The process takes about 15-20 minutes.

DHA reacts with the amino acids and proteins in the outer layer of skin and produces a golden brown coloration. The color will continue to darken after the applied and the limit of color is reached within 3 to 4 hours. Mystic Tan tanning solution can last anywhere from five days to full two weeks. Mystic Tan does not damage the underlying layers of skin has no long term sun associated dangers.
