What is DHA spray tanning?

When your skin produces pigment to protect itself from UV rays, tanning occurs. In spray or airbrush tanning, a tanning solution containing an active ingredient called DHA is applied by a tanning technician via a compressor and airbrush. The process takes about 15-20 minutes.

DHA reacts with the amino acids and proteins in the outer layer of skin and produces a golden brown coloration. The color will continue to darken after the applied and the limit of color is reached within 3 to 4 hours. Mystic Tan tanning solution can last anywhere from five days to full two weeks.
